Dr Amber Botros
Owner/Medical Director
Dr. Amber Botros obtained her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed a Family Medicine residency at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. While she was working as a hospitalist physician at Research Medical Center, she saw the need for a physician owned and operated Medical Spa in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. She continues to maintain her board certification with the American Board of Family Medicine as well as licenses in Missouri and Kansas.
Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness was started in December of 2014. It took only a few years for Plaza Aesthetics to be recognized as one of the top medical spas in Kansas City, winning Best Medical Spa by The Pitch’s Best of KC in 2018 & 2019. Dr Botros is an expert in her field and centers her practice around evidence-based medicine and patient safety & satisfaction. She strives to empower her patients to love the skin they are in. Dr Botros’ specialties are aesthetics, antiaging medicine, medical weight loss, laser hair removal and hormone replacement therapy.
After 8 years at its original location, Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness moved to their new state of the art location in the Plaza West Building (4600 Madison Ave #120) on the Country Club Plaza in April of 2022. The office has since continued to expand their staff, hours, and services.
Dr Botros spends her free time with her partner, John, and their french bulldogs. She enjoys exercise, the visual and performing arts, and her ever-expanding collection of houseplants. Dr Botros has dedicated much of her free time to supporting the body positive movement as a plus size model and content creator, encouraging women & men of all ages to feel comfortable and confident in their skin. She has been a member of the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (HEMP) for the past three years where she works with some of the most brilliant Kansas City Entrepreneurs. Dr Botros also serves on the Board of Volunteer KC. With continued growth of the business she is looking forward to more frequent travel and quality time with John and the dogs.

Ashlee Campbell - Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Esthetician
Ashlee was professionally introduced to the beauty industry in 2008 when she graduated from Eric Fisher Academy and became a licensed Esthetician. Ashlee worked for Dopps Chiropractic and Wellness Spa in Wichita, KS, this is where she built an impressive clientele. She has been trained in multiple pharmaceutical grade skin care lines and is certified in SkinCeuticals. Her passion for helping people moved her to Overland Park where she attended college. Ashlee has years of experience in banking, management and for the past 4 years she has been working as a paralegal at Polsinelli. Ashlee has a keen eye for attention to detail, organization and a passion for building rapport with her clients.
In her free time she can be found at the park with her husband and kids, gardening and loves to travel. Ashlee is eager to work hard and help as many people as possible in her career at Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness!
Megan Griffiths - RN / Registered Nurse
Megan graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Washburn University in 2018. After graduation, she moved to the Kansas City metro area and began her nursing career in the operating room at The University of Kansas Health System. While aesthetic nursing was always in her career plan, her passion for the industry grew from circulating and scrubbing in for plastic surgeries. After leaving KU, she further developed her nursing skills at Children’s Mercy Hospital for over two years, where she was nominated by a patient’s family for a Daisy Award for Excellence in Nursing. She then met Dr. Botros and fulfilled her dream of entering the aesthetic world professionally.
Megan joined the Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness team in April of 2022 and has a passion for ending the stigma surrounding aesthetic treatments and helping people enhance their natural beauty to look and feel their best. She specializes in lip filler and wrinkle relief injections as well as dermal fillers for facial balancing, Morpheus8 face and body, Sciton Halo Pro, and BBL Hero laser treatments, and assists Dr. Botros with the BodyTite and FaceTite procedures.
Megan was born and raised on a farm in rural Kansas, and while it’s a very different world, she wouldn’t want it any other way. She enjoys spending her free time with her fiancé, Kyle, their two dogs, and her family and friends. She also loves being active-hiking, working out, and playing in recreational volleyball and softball leagues, and has a love for traveling, with a very long bucket list.
Paige Posson - Registered Dietitian
Paige has a passion for helping others make sense of nutrition and build a balanced plan that supports sustainable long-term results that go beyond just weight loss. Paige graduated with her bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Kansas State University in 2018 and graduated with her master’s degree in dietetics and nutrition from University of Kansas Medical Center in 2020. While pursuing her master’s degree, Paige completed a 1200-hour dietetic internship in clinical, management, and community based dietetic practice.
She has been credentialed as a Registered Dietitian since 2019 and is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas. Paige began her professional career as a research dietitian with a focus on weight management and energy metabolism. She has continued her professional career as a clinical dietitian specializing in weight management. She has a certificate of training in pediatric and adult obesity management.
Annie McBee - Medical Aesthetician
Annie is a Kansas City native who moved back home in 2021 after spending 12 years living in Manhattan, KS. She attended Bellus Academy in Manhattan where she received her licenses in both esthetics and cosmetology. Annie has been in the aesthetic industry for over a decade and has been with Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness since returning to Kansas City.
In April of 2024, she completed Hydrafacial’s intensive, 6-month, 3-level training course and became a certified Master Hydrafacialist. She has a passion for connecting with people and making them feel beautiful inside and out. She specializes in lashes, brows, body contouring, laser hair removal, chemical peels, Tixel, and Hydrafacials. Additionally, she is an expert in developing skincare routines for her patients as well as performing Visia skin analyses.
Annie is excited to continue expanding her services and knowledge in the medical aesthetics field and offering more advanced procedures. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her pets, as well as traveling and going to concerts.
Brittany Barnes - Medical Aesthetician
Brittany has been in the aesthetics industry since 2012 when she graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Nashville, TN. After receiving her license, she started her journey working in a salon & spa atmosphere as a makeup artist. Soon after, Brittany began working at a medical spa in Texas as the front desk personnel and worked her way up to office manager before eventually moving to Kansas City and joining the Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness team in 2022. She is licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas.
Brittany has attended numerous educational courses throughout her practice and strives to stay up to date with the ever-changing industry standards. Most recently, Brittany completed Hydrafacial’s 6-month, 3-level, intensive training course to become a Master Hydrafacialist in April of 2024. Additionally, she has vast experience in laser hair removal, chemical peels, microneedling, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, Tixel, and Hydrafacial. She is a skincare expert who routinely performs Visia skin analyses, is well-versed in numerous medical grade skincare lines, and is passionate about connecting with her patients- helping them to achieve their desired results and feel their best, inside and out.
In her free time Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, fur children, and friends, cheering her boys on in their sports and activities, event bingo and trivia, watching true crime documentaries, patio drinks and hangs, and exploring all things to do in Kansas City.
Allie McDill – Medical Aesthetician
Allie is a Kansas City native and lives in Waldo with her two best friends. After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2021 with a degree in psychology, Allie quickly realized that she wanted to combine her love of helping people with her love of the beauty industry. She recently graduated from the Skn Academy in Shawnee, Kansas, where she was trained in facials, advanced modalities, dermaplaning, brows, lashes, waxing, spray tans, and makeup.
Allie joined the Plaza Aesthetics & Wellness team in January of 2024 and is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and services. In her free time, she enjoys soaking up as much reality TV as possible.
Melissa Smith – RN / Registered Nurse
Melissa graduated from Pittsburg State University with her BSN in 2009. She has a diverse background in various nursing specialties over the years and has spent most of her career at The University of Kansas Health System. She has experience in ICU, Interventional Radiology and Pain Management, ENT, Cardiac Step-Down, and IV Infusion.
Melissa started her aesthetic nurse injector career in September 2023. She values giving patients the best experience and results. She is dedicated to furthering her education and staying up to date with the latest techniques to help patients look and feel their best. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys cooking, watching sports, coaching soccer, and spending time with her twin boys, fiancée, 3 dogs, and family.
Tessa Menard – RN / Registered Nurse
Tessa began her aesthetic career in August of 2023 but has been in the medical field for over two decades. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Rockhurst University/Research College of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Tessa has had her nursing license in the state of Missouri since 2014 and is excited to continue learning and growing in the aesthetic industry.
Tessa is a proud wife and mother, blessed with two busy young daughters. She enjoys cheering for each of her favorite sports teams in her free time – Nebraska Cornhusker football, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs. But at the heart of it all, she is an RN who cherishes family moments and believes in and strives for a balanced life.
Kelli Glades - Aesthetician
Kelli graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she knew she wanted to combine her degree with the beauty industry, so she became a licensed Aesthetician shortly after and opened a small med spa in 2019.
In June of 2022 she married her husband, who is a Kansas City local, sold her business, and moved to KC. She has been with us since January 2023.
Kelli has been practicing Aesthetics for 10 years and is also licensed in micro-needling, permanent makeup, plasma pen, and laser hair removal. Along with all other things Aesthetics, she is passionate about making every client feel like the best version of themselves.
