Women's Hormone Replacement Therapy In Kansas City
Women's Hormone Replacement
Note: we are accepting new patients for male hormone replacement.
Getting older comes with challenges, but your hormones don't need to be one of them when you use women's hormone replacement.
Isn't it amazing that we live in a time when we can effectively manage our hormones to age gracefully and in style?
At Plaza Aesthetics and Wellness, we want our clients to feel like they did in their 20s and 30s, full of vibrancy, energy, and exuberance. Your hormones play an essential role in your body, so ensuring that they are at the proper levels can significantly impact your life.
WHAT IS
Women's Hormone Replacement?
Women’s hormone replacement replaces progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone to achieve normal hormone levels. In addition, your hormone levels could be deficient if you are peri-menopausal or menopausal and have symptoms associated with abnormal hormone levels.
Some of these symptoms could be:
- Irregular periods
- Insomnia
- PMS
- Hair thinning
- Brain fog
We currently don’t provide HRT for individuals that are transitioning. At Plaza Aesthetics and Wellness, we aim for the best possible results and services for our patients. At this stage, we do not have the appropriate resources to provide the best care for our transgender patients. However, we often find that transitioning patients visit us for laser hair removal as a first step in the transitioning process.
DON'T LET HORMONES Define How You Age
The average woman can go through menopause at the age of 51, but you can have peri-menopausal symptoms in your late 30s and early 40s.
Many women only think about menopause when it is active, but pre-menopausal symptoms can start 10 to 15 years before active menopause begins. When your estrogen and progesterone levels start to decrease, you will see a noticeable difference in your body.
Your hormones can also fluctuate if you have a medical condition.
At Plaza Aesthetics and Wellness, we use BHRT, which is a bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Bioidentical hormones are plant-derived compounds that can be absorbed easily into the body and have fewer side effects.
How Does Women's Hormone Replacement Work?
Women’s hormone replacement is a tailored process.
- We start with a complimentary consultation where you can come in and chat with us about your situation and symptoms you may be experiencing.
- We obtained baseline labs, and although we usually start with serum lab testing, we can also do urine or saliva tests.
- After reviewing your symptoms and examining your lab values, we can establish whether BHRT is an appropriate treatment.
There are many hormone replacement pathways, but the most common are transdermal or intramuscular administration. Some hormone replacement medication can be admitted orally.
We recommend transdermal administration for women. You can start with estrogen cream, testosterone cream, progesterone cream, or oral application. Once your hormones are at a stable rate, you can combine everything into one preparation.
We like to start slow to keep you comfortable and as symptom-free as possible. Because we use bio-identical compounds, they mimic what would typically happen naturally in your body.
Make the Safe Choice
Put Your Trust in
Plaza Aesthetics and Wellness
At Plaza Aesthetics and Wellness, we are with you every step of the way, which is why the complimentary consultation is so important.
After meeting with our patients, we can determine the appropriate dose and manage any symptoms. It’s often wise to go low and start slow so that we can ensure our patients are comfortable as they progress through the process.
If you are transferring from a different provider, we can assess your previous treatments and look at transferring doses. For example, if you previously used a transdermal hormone cream but wanted to look into intramuscular administration, we can ensure you get the correct amount of the hormones you need.
Hormone replacement requires frequent monitoring, and that is why we have follow-up appointments to make any necessary adjustments. We know how challenging hormonal imbalance can be, and we tried to make the process of moving into the next phase of your life as stress-free and symptom-free as possible.
